Fr. Elijah's
Bamenda Appeal

As part of my Lenten Fast and Charity, I often appeal for used shoes and clothes from the parishioners to be offered to refugees and internally displaced victims of the civil war in Bamenda, Cameroon.

I am asking for your generous donation of the shoes and clothes (of all ages and sizes) you may not have used for a very long time or may not have use of again. Donations can be brought to the Church doors or to the Presbytery at 2 Dean Road, Bitterne, or contact Fr. Elijah Fru.

Why does Bamenda need our help?

Cameroon is divided between English-speaking and French-speaking people and fighting has broken out between them. The English-speaking are which includes Bamenda is suffering at the hands of government forces with many homes being burned and many being killed.

You can see reports of the conflict from the BBC and the Washington Post.

Please be generous with your support Fr. Elijah's appeal for donations of the shoes and clothes (of all ages and sizes) you may not have used for a very long time or may not have use of again. Donations can be brought to the Church doors or to the Presbytery at 2 Dean Road, Bitterne, or contact Fr. Elijah Fru.
